Amtrak crash video

Hey guys, my friend called me tonight because he's having trouble with his 99 1/2 ton 5. 2 V8. The truck runs fine, until this morning, when he loads the engine it wants to die out, it starts to sputter, and sometimes dies out completely. If he babies it up to speed, everything will go fine, but as soon as he gets on it, she starts to sputter. Sound familiar to anyone?

The fuel pump (in-tank) quit on the wife's 5. 9L Durango. It would barely start, had a very rough idle and died completely when you touched the accelerator pedal or put it in gear. Doesn't sound like this truck is to that point yet, but a fuel rail pressure check could isolate the problem in short order - got an OBDII reader??

Does it have a rough idle? The 5. 2 and 5. 9 Magnum engines are famous for having the intake plenum gasket let go and cause a vacum leak.

No rough idle, nothing out of the ordinary until your get on the gas pedal, then it sputters almost to dieing out. He's going to have it hooked up tomorrow to see if the what the computer tells us.
