I think i posted a earlier post in the wrong place . I'm sorry for that. What I got here is a friend who has a 97 automatic 4. 10 read End Gas Motor. He questions the Transmission. Is there a way to adjust or change a Chip to get the truck to stay in 3rd Gear up to 50 miles per hour. This is a 4 speed with Overdrive. Tks

Possibles.

1) push the button in to hold it out of overdrive

2) hold the go pedal all the way to the floor, until it goes faster than 50. (This requires that you pay attention to your surroundings in general, and your rear-view mirror in particular. )

3) yes, the money takers in the Auto Trans. business can make them do about anything you want, as long as the money lasts.

enjoy.

ya, the guy needs to installs govenor springs, then he will get more MPH in 3rd gear. Call PDR @ 1-866-888-9396
