The driver side fog lamp would only come on intermittently. I could sometimes tap on the cover and the bulb would come on. I figured the bulb might be loose so I pulled the bulb out and pressed it back in to the connector. That didnt' change anything so I pulled out the other bulb to look at it.

That was a mistake. When trying to put the bulb back in to the passenger side reflector, I knocked the bulb off its base into the reflector. Now I can't figure out how to get the bulb out of the reflector! Everything I look at has at least one rivet or other problem to prevent me from getting the bulb out. It almost seems like I need to remove the bumper!

Any one have any ideas or shortcuts to get the bulb out so I can get back to my original problem and see if I have a short in the driver side fog lamp.

Thanks!

No, the bumper doesn't come off, but the black plastic bezel around the top must be removed. There are two plastic rivets, one at each end of the bezel, in the wheel well, that must be removed, then the many clips that hold the bezel to the bumper must be carefully squeezed to release the bezel. The clips can all be accessed from underneath the bumper. After the bezel is removed, the screws holding the fog lamp assemblies to the bumper can be removed with a Torx screwdriver (I believe they're torx).
