So long story short, I removed my aftermarket Panasonic deck and Polk speakers (they're for sale if anyone cares, and they're nice;)) and reinstalled the stock stuff. Crutchfield made installation a breeze since everything was plug and play, so the aftermarket stuff just unplugged and the stock stuff just plugged back in. Now here's the issue, the stock head unit is wigging out. The display flashes with no apparent pattern/consistency, the sound travels from speaker to speaker, the controls/buttons don't work other than the power/volume. I can't figure it out. Is the stereo dead? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the ghost of "Christmas Past" lol!

Wonder if it has to be taken (the truck) back to the *******? Does your truck have the factory security system? Would that cause a problem if you have it? These newer radios have that anti theft deterrent built in them sometimes... I'm really curious on this as I have the Infinity system, what a overpriced joke!

Merry Christmas!!

I guess it has the factory theft deterrent system, but I don't know if it has anything to do with the stereo. The old one just plug and played, I figured putting the old one back in would be the same.
