Hello All,



I was wondering if any body as had any problems with there whole radio and nav screen going black??? I have a brand new 2013 Mega Cab 2500 Laramie with I believe the Nav 8. 4 screen. My screen has gone black a few times and the dealer replaced the entire unit and now the truck will not connect to UConnect. The dealer has tried to re-program the unit numerous times. It went back for the third time today to see if they can get someone from Chrysler to come to California and fix it. If your screen goes black beware that the UConnect will have a hard time working. It also went in for the recall on the engine cover.....
 
I do not have a 2013, but a 2011, uconnect seems to be dead, no support for a iphone 4s and Chrysler seems to have no intentions of fixing it - I gave up on it. I am also on my second unit, first one died - GPS locations. I am NOT impressed with the support of the unit in my truck. If you have that bad of an experience you do have the lemon laws in CA to help in some way.
 
Have had my 11 for 2 yr's never once did I have Problem's with Nav or Radio not working may just be the newer stuff ???put 53,000 on it in 2 yr's all trouble free . but I just traded it off . in May
 
All dealers were shipped a disk with new flash files in the last two weeks. It will fix many concerns with the RA* radios. There is also a new Star case this morning S1308000230 that gives the proper course of action for the various concerns, ie. flash or replace.
 
Thank You everyone for your feed back... . My truck is at the dealer as I type... . Lets see what they come up with this time. Glad to hear from sag2 that the dealer got new flash files. I'll keep you posted on the status. I am new to this forum, its great that I got responses back so quick... . Thanks again!!!!! Sag2 its great to see your in California also.
 
Ram has been having a lot of issues with the Nav radios... seems this latest flash is a lot better. Other than the $500 price tag, one of the reasons I ordered my truck without Nav was all the issues I saw people were having with the unit.
 
Mine has been working great even the Uconnect Phone remote Start ,Doors, speed location everything Good... just give them some time and it will work out. . Even the Wifi..... :D
 
The U-Connect in my 730 has worked fine. The only problem we had was it locked up after about a minute when playing music from an iPod Touch. That turned out to be an Apple software problem on the iPod; a software update from Apple cured that.

Hello Everyone,
Wanted to give an update on the UConnect... . I got my truck back from the dealer 3 days ago, and everything seems to be working fine. I am now able to connect to the UConnect, my dealer said they had to go through 5 different engineers at Chrysler to find the right software needed to make the UConnect work. I think if I was to do it all over again, I wouldn't get the whole Nav and UConnect again. Thanks for listening.....

Glad you got it. There are four different files, all four were sent to your dealer a couple of weeks ago on a CD. Actually they sent two identical CD's. The problem is all four files are named the same. So the dealer had to get four jump drives and label them RA? for each of the RA model radios (RA2, RA3 etc. ) they are going to update. Your dealer probably didn't realize they had the CD and ordered a jump drive from STAR with the flash already on it.

Not sure what they did, but I was finally able to get the registration screen so I could register it again..... All is working good now... . Thanks for your help!!

Hello everyone. I just have a black screen on my 2013 Ram 3500 turbo diesel. I took it this morning hoping to get an update like everyone stated in the internet. My local Dodge deeler rejected to fix the proble. Moreover, after reading hundreds of complains in the web i reached Chrysler to complaint . i told them about the issue and also that i was aware of the other hundreds of pleople with the same issues. Final answer ...they did not care. I would like to go for a collective law suit agaist Dodge. Please i need help. People with the same issue must get together and get this resolve. Replay back . Thank you
