Prodigy, ashtray, and auto transmission

Prodigy, ashtray, and auto transmission? How are they related? Well, I got my new Prodigy brake controller yesterday and decided to remove the ashtray and install it there like I've heard of others on this forum doing. So I take the ashtray out, I even remove the lightbulb at the top of the ashtray, and I get the Prodigy mounted to the top of the empty ashtray cavity at just the right angle so I can see the display perfectly. I'm really happy with the result. Then I shift the transmission into Drive and sure enough the shift lever perfectly and completely blocks the view of the Prodigy display . Now all I need to do is find some kind of spacer (that looks decent) to lower the Prodigy an inch or more so I can see it -- or maybe I'll just leave it and lean forward when I want to see the display! The good news is that it's really a nice easy location to reach the manual control -- and it really looks good in Park.

Yup - I like that location a lot. I have an Envoy, and it fits in there just right. Like you said - a great location for making adjustments.
