68RFE oil circulation in park

Hello all, just bought a 2012 6.7, my first 6.7 and was looking at buying the MADS Smarty Touch Programmer G2C. Does anyone have any experience with this, any feedback would be appreciated. Also looking at the EDGE CTS2 with the EAS Competition kit that will allow to monitor EGT's, Boost and tyranny temp, along with a turbo timer. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Hi,
I am familiar with the Smarty S67 ME, but not the Smarty Touch Programmer! I believe all of the new Smarty's that are sold now are all emission compliant. Are you looking for a delete programmer or just a monitor? If you are going for a monitor I would look at the Edge Insight CTS2 as this is less costly than the Smarty Touch. Also do a search on this forum for the CTS2 monitor for fourth gen trucks. I believe Joe Donnelly wrote an article on using the CTS2 and what it monitors for the fourth gen trucks.

The truck I've bought has been EGR deleted already, I'm looking for something to do power and have the ability to monitor, mainly EGT's, Boost and Trans Temp that's all the really matters, maybe fuel pressure at a later date when I add a FASS system.

Smarty Touch is all emissions compliant tunes. It does allow you to customized programming, on the fly switching, logging, and monitor about every PID available but it won't allow deletes. To do deletes you need an S67 or MM3 with a custom tune loaded into it. MM3 is just the monitor and logging functions, you need to add tunes for power and\or deletes. One of the top choices for deletes and customized programming, allows you to load programming from different platforms.

Thanks for the reply, I've found Double R Diesel and the owner has answered many questions, the MM3 lite, which has 6 tunes already in it is probably the route I'm going since my truck has been deleted by the previous owner.

Since this truck has already been deleted it must have a tune all ready installed in the ECM. Did you purchase this truck from a private party or dealer? If from a private party find out what they used for a tune and programmer! I would also look into the EFI Live programmer and tuner these have been will excepted for use on a Cummins engine.
Both of my son's have the EFI Live on their trucks and they are extremely happy with them.

The guy at Double R Diesel said the MM3 could catch whatever tuner file is already on the truck, so that's the route inn probably gonna go, i think, I'm looking at EFI Live too though.

Note that you do NOT have to have a tune to just block the EGR. Deleting not only removes the EGR but the DPF, OX sensors and turns off certain things in the ECM. I would not rely on what is there being valid, rather, get a a known good delete tune loaded if you are going that route.

On a stock truck, would this not trigger a CEL?
Yes! I ran this way for 6 to 9 months before I full deleted back in 2009. No real performance issue and the truck ran fine, I just unplugged the EGR. When the truck would start I would get a CEL but this could be cleared with a code reader if needed.

I've ran across a guy who has a H&S tuner locally with 6 tunes in it, plus tyranny tuning ability, he's going to let me try it for a week to see if I like it and if so, I'll buy it.

Hello all,
Been away for a while trying a D-Max dually crew cab.
GM & Allison not the holy grail either, although a nice riding and stable truck.

I decided to sell & go back to cummins & buy a 2009 2500 Q/C 6.7 auto.
Read about programmers as my truck is completely STOCK, still needs all emission related parts here in Mass.

I ordered a Smarty S-67 for a little added fun.
My issue, I have yet to see any order confirmation from them.
Went to contact page, used their supplied e-mail address and it says not valid, no phone number to call.

Says ships over night, MAYBE it did last night, just can't confirm either way.

Thanks

I think there is someone on here that represents Smarty or a supplier of Smarty. I would do a search for something like Brain at smarty or something like that. He might be able to help with the tracking of the Smarty S-67 that you ordered.
