I've been thinking about installing a propane
injection kit. My truck runs good now, but I'm always wanting more. There is a new system called Powershot 2000. This system applies propane only as the boost increases.
Anyone tried propane on a first gen, or am I going to be the first one? Any thoughts?

Here's a quick hint guys: I stopped by a local Propane dealer looking for a tank for my future propane installation. He lead me to the back lot where he had several strange sized tanks! One was perfect for mounting under the cab on the frame rails. 6" dia. X 40" long. The dealer had never seen a tank like this before or sense. I'm still looking for another twin to use on the other rail or for air tank use. The best part is he GAVE it to me because it cost them money to dispose of them for salvage. So start looking in all the back lots of the dealers for the perfect tank for rail or bed mounting.

Yes, you must be careful not to get a damaged or leaking tank! Mine still had propane in it. He told me to "vent it" to be sure it was empty and take the valves and vents off to reseal them with common pipe dope and they will be as good as new after a fresh paint job. Have your local station to recertify it after the rebuild and you will be good to go. I will built a small skid plate to mount under the length of the whole tank for obvious reasons.

Anyone have an idea what this tank was used on?

Stab, That propane tanks dimensions seem like a forklift application, we have several at my workplace with those dimensions. Rick.

Stab, is the tank you are referring to a liquid or a vapor tank? Also which injection system are planning to use? Thanks in advance.
