I was wondering if anyone out there can help me with this dilema:confused:

A couple of weeks back I was with FRodrigues while he test drove another members BOMBed truck. No problems there. Ok, here is the dilema... ... ... ... ... Fred proceeded to plant his foot on the go pedal... ... ..... as we "launched" (not from a stop) I noticed he had just past someone out for fresh air riding his bicycle    I started to laugh histerically and told Fred to look in his rear view mirror... ... ... . the guy on the bike was barely visible through the carbon cloud:D :D

So... ..... I was hoping someone might be able to help Fred out prior to him BOMBing his truck and having bicyclists and pedestrians throughout Rhode Island going to the ER with breething problems. ??:D :D

Sorry Fred, I just had to share this with others, thought they might get a chuckle out of it.

George:D

Driving home in rush hour traffic the other day on a two lane road there were two bicycles riding in the right lane. It was blocking traffic all up. I got stuck behind them and as soon as I could get around, I put my foot to the firewall. ;) Looked in the rearview, and they were in a pretty serious cloud of diesel smoke :D :D . I am all for bicycles having rights to our roads, but they really got what they deserved on that one.

You had to let it out!

OK,Ok, I publicly apologize to those poor pedestrians.

That's what happens when an inexperienced person drives a Bombed CTD. I wonder if that would be the appropriate method of blowing the doors of somebody driving a jeep wrangler with the top down?:p

By the way George do you know the proper method of road testing a Bombed truck when a cop lives on the street you're road testing?:) :D

Now Fred... ... ..... That's not fair:eek: :D

Ok, maybe it is... ... ... ... ..... but it was funny to hear Scott tell the story.

George

well that explains the guy on the bike throwing rocks at me the other day :p :D ... .

that 12V problem  with my ram has been fixed now guys and the pedestrians in town are now safe to breath normally ...

i myself don't like to fumagate pedestrians and bicyclists , idiots in ricers , now thats a different story ...

John-

I didn't want to mention which truck (you know, to protect the innocent... ... . ).

I usually only try to smoke the idiots out there, not people minding there own business.

A buddy of mine did that to a couple cyclists towing my boat with my truck while I was riding shotgun. I told him what he did, he looked back in the mirror and we both had a good laugh, though he did feel bad. I usually try to be nice to the peds and bikers, except the ones who are riding two abreast or where its illegal. They get the full 12V treatment. :D

batman , no problem , the combo of my wastegate flapping in the breeze and 4 inches on my intake gasket missing made lo rpm boost non exsitant , hence all that smoke , i now turn that little box on the RED setting and smoke is just a blip of the throttle away , ask the clown in the subraru last nite ... :D:D:D

I play nice... Except when it happens to be a bicycle shutting down one lane of a street in rush hour traffic . Then you get gassed.

"O"

I agree with playing nice AND not playing nice, Like those morons and the "people" that jog in bad weather in the road and not on the sidewalk????????????

Just venting now on one of my pet peeves... ..... see what you started o_mccarroll??

Maybe I should start a poll on which "people" should and shouldn't get CLOUDED!! :D :D

You know;

- blue heads driving 45 in the high speed lane on a highway with the speed limit 65??? (Disclaimer: term Blue Head is not meant to be disrespectful to elderly people, just those idiots that can't drive)

- Idiots that pull out in front of you, go 20mph then take the next right (and no-one is behind you)

How many more?????

  :D

I used to drive an old Sanford fire pumper that would leave a cloud of coal black that you could walk on. More often than not people were gassed by accident. But it usually didn't take a long trip to see someone who hadn't yet got their USRDA of diesel smoke. Just back off the throttle ahead of the target and lay on it when you got close enough. One time I was crossing a bridge when I noticed about 5 strange looking characters with purple hair, leather and chains, and way too many holes pierced in their ears, nose, lips, eyebrows, etc. I thought my buddy in the jump seat was going to fall off the truck because he was laughing so hard.

had one the other night, my wife was rolling on the floor of the truck laughing...

A little sports car was on my right at a light. . , on the other side of the light the right lane that the sports car was in went away... .

So not knowing if the little car was gonna romp or not, I went off of the line nicely. . but the guy started being a jerk... so WOT, throught the fire wall, jumped ahead of him, got ahead and kept my tail pipe right at his open drivers window as we barreled down the highway. . I went just fast enough to keep him there. . My wife looked back and saw all the nice power smoke and said "Gee I wonder if his window was open?" I said ya, thats why I kept the jerk at the tail pipe... thats when my wife lost it...

He finally backed off and merged with traffic and faded away.

The best was when he finally, through traffic, after it had been done for a while (I forgot about him), wound up in front of me . . I guess he was trying to show me or something... I love it and let them get there in past cases... ... , And his whole car was lit up inside with my headlights..... and him and his girlfriend slinked down in their seats...

JAK, I was walking down the sidewalk just yesterday and came to an intersection just as a large firetruck came to a stop alongside of me. As he pulled away I was on the receiving end of a good fumigation, the 6" exhaust pipe was aimed right at me. It was a hot day so we're talking serious smoke. When I walked out of the cloud that enveloped me I was grinning ear to ear, enjoying every moment of it. Am I sick or what? :D

Be nice to us 2 wheelers

Guys, I gotta chime in here. Being a cyclist myself, I've been on the receiving end of plenty of abuse. I think there's something we need to clear up here. There are two kinds of people that ride bikes. There's the "cyclist" that obeys the traffic laws and tries not to disrupt traffic as much as possible. Then there are the “idiots who happen to on a bike” that ride on the wrong side of the road, in the middle of the road, in the middle of the night to the crack house,… You know the type. Feel free to fume these. If I see some gang banger wannabe in the middle of my lane heading toward me, I’ll put the fear of God in ‘em. But, the other type, I leave well enough alone. Maybe I ought to just slap a big Cummins stick on the back of my jersey next time I go out. Remember to play nice with you local cyclist. The next one you fume may just be one of your own.

It's a rule then.

If you bike and drive a Cummins, or want to drive a Cummins, you must have a LARGE banner flying off you seat that Says,

"CUMMINS RULES!"

Otherwise, we will consider you one of them, and Diesel you!

I was sitting at a light the other day and a smoked 2 young gals who thought they were gods gift to the earth and when they caught up to me at the next light one of them had the nerve to tell me to get that charcol burning son of a b#!%& off the road. (the nerve of her)

As far as the cyclist that are on the road tring todo the right thing, but are a bit too far into the road... . I'll give them a couple of short burst of the horn... . I don't lean on it to scare the crap out of them...

I know that the shuolder of the road is a death trap to the cyclist and his tires... but some of the roads around here are real narrow and these rams are wide, as are the trailers we tow.

So I given em a toot or two and let them know they are gonna be passed... Most tuck in when they hear it and I pass them as nice as I can. . others I think just think they own the road and have the right of way and some how I'm supposed to push the other cars out of the way in the oncoming lane, or I'm supposed to stay behind him at 15mph... thats the cyclist that gets the carbon dust.

One thing I dont understand... . back from when I was a kid...

Riding with traffic is the rule, but looking over your shoulder to see whats gonna pass you is dangerous. And most of the time drivers act as if you aren't there... so your on your own anyway...

I find (and the purest cycler are gonna shoot me for this... , so I'll put my flack jacket on) riding against traffic is easier since all of what's gonna get me is in front of me. I don't trust the rules of the road and courtesy around here when I'm on a bike. Cause around here, you might as well be invisible when your on a bike and than there are these airheaded drivers, they think they are the only ones on the road even if your driving and 18wheeler...

I hear what you're saying, BK. We've got a long narrow bridge here that's just wide enough for 2 cars. Whenever I hit that bridge, the people behind me know I'm working as hard as I can to get off it ASAP. Usually they cut me some slack. Sometimes they don't.
