Protecting truck from rock damage

Going to Alaska every one says you need to protect the front of the truck, windshield,lights, grill etc. from rock damage . Any how to sugestions would be appreciated.

Thirty years ago you did. Now, there is minimal gravel unless you plan on going to Inuvik or up the haul road. In my 11 round trips over the last 25 years, never got a rock chip on the Alaska Hwy. Around town is another story.

Around here the highway dept. puts what seems like pebbles on the road when it snows, so I put a "full-wrap" on my Ram. That's clear mask on the front hood & painted parts, front fenders, and all the way across the rocker panels. Works great. No chips. Bruce
