our 2000 psds have the same bowl type filter as our 2001 dodges. unscrew the top of the filter bowl and the filter comes with it. watch out for the o ring and watch how it attaches to the bowl. {also, be careful of getting a face full of diesel, when you remove the filter} . you should try to get the bowl as full of fuel as you can to eliminate air, but neither our fords or dodges, have been very hard to fire after the change. as with all psds, the eng compartment is very tight and an extra set of hands always helps.
