Is this possible

... . and all I can do is laugh at them... . Had this fella on the other fuel pump the other night, telling me all about his 99 PSD and how he (insert drawl here) "put this-here 'puter chip in and got me 400hp! Yup... smokes them-thar tires reeeeeal good!" he says... who do these people buy this crap from? Who are the ding-dongs making those claims in their ads? Or is it they think I'm as gullable as they are and will believe anything that spews from their pie holes?... . oh, and he looked over my truck and said, "Aint never seen a stack pipe on a pick-up befer". Oh brother.

Unfortunately, I've met about as many idiots driving Dodge Cummins trucks, maybe more, than PSD idiots...

I know of 3 running around out there with fueling boxes and no gauges. Despite having been warned by others, and me, that they needed them. Even despite my offers of free help to install gauges!!!

One other dude in my hometown, was talking about modifying his wastegate for more boost. He has no fueling enhancements. I tried to explain, but he's one of those people that knows more than anyone else. Gonna be funny when he sets an "overboost" fault in the ECM. :D Wonder what I'll say to him when he comes running to ask me... .

phords

yep. phord will have the cummins next year, and dodge will have to settle for an isuzu diesel. 'course it'll have to be a 4 cylinder, since gm gets the choice from isuzu. heck, dc may even drop the diesel option.

Every time I see a Powerstroker' at the Pump they usually:

1. Dont acknowledge my truck/engine at all or myself.

2. Shoot me a dirty look

3. Hang their head in shame!

When I see a fellow Cummins Diesel Owner at the Pump they will usually:

1. Shoot me a smile and a hello.

2. We start a conversation about the Cummins Diesel!

Amazing how attitudes in ownership of these two trucks differ!

They're just po'd at the pumps because they have to use the little car nozzles and wait in line behind the VW's:D

Almost

Was at the pumps the other day and a Texan with a new PF-350 crew pulled in. I was talking to one of the stations mechs, just shooting the bull. There were three guys in the Pford and they all got out. My friend left and I finnished fueling. The guy fueling the Pford was giving me dirty looks and glaring at me. I just returned a smile,I think it pi$$ed this guy off. I was putting the nozzle up,when he asked me how I liked my Dodge(In a nasty tone)I said"Love it" and went in to pay for my fuel. When I came out I heard two of em bad mouthing Dodges very loud voice"How could anybody want a POS Dodge. When I spoke up and said "I feel the same way about a POS Pford". Well I would have thought I pulled a gun on them. One of them asked if I would like to wager some money on a race between there and Denver. I said "Make it interesting and put 10,000 behind em both and we will head up Monarch Pass"!One of them was looking over my truck and saw the gauges and told the others, they all backwatered and got real angry, thought I was going to have to fight these jokers. Finally after some raised voices,I shrugged my shoulders and got in my ole Dodge and left.

I could not believe they got so bent. Might have been some booze involved. I am getting a little old and don't know if I can still take on three anymore. But I won't take any #%@#.

I don't care what diesel they have, these idiots are around. I usually get caught up in good conversation with dodge owners at the pumps, but every now and then some moron pops up, and I'm sick of hearing BS at this point, so I tell them they're lying or correct them on it.

I ususally discover that the PSD owners with the bad attitudes are Chevy guys.

I've got the no job part done, but I don't think Aurora qualifies for no town and no people. I hope to be moving to Grand Junction for a job there. I might hear by Monday. Sorry for interupting the thread.

Good luck

Good luck Klenger,Grand Junction is booming right now. I asked a friend of mine who lives there. Why?He said everybody who has ever lived there is coming back!

This is kinda OT... but some trivia is always fun

GJ is cursed. The story I always heard was that when the Utes left GJ they put a curse on the valley; anyone who lives there for a period of time will always come back, unless they gather soil from atop the Monument, the Grand Mesa and the Bookcliffs and take the soil with them. :D

I've only been to Grand Junction for a couple of weekends, and I already want to go back. It looks like a great place to own a camper. Many of the residenances there have RV's stored on-site. Very close to a lot of neat places in Colorado, Utah, and Arizona is not too far away.

Wouldn't doubt

I wouldn't doubt it. The utes left there very pi$$ed off. I had a steady run over there one time and spent a day every week looking around.

Right in that area,Grand Mesa,Colo monument,Ucompadre, and just a little bit from there,Blue mesa,Black canyon of the Gunnison,Telluride,Lake powell, not to mention the caynon country in Utah. Love it over there.

The company I work for was once going to put a terminal over there. I was the first one volunteering... ... ... ... . Then they changed plans.

I hate to say it, but I'm gonna say it anyway... Except for Keith Long of Powershot Propane fame, and a couple others, notably a really cool friend with a Cummins powered jeep in Indiana, and Frank Puskarich from Pennsylvania, most of the Ford owners I've met around here have been insufferable snobs. It didn't do much for my attitude towards the brand.

Then I got to know PsychoStroker, MadDog, and Casey C. to name just a few Ford owners, out west. The Ford guys out west are as cool as they come. Dunno why the ones in this part of the country can't be nicer. Is it really worth bashing somebody's face in , over what brand of truck he drives?

xactly

Exactly BH,I know a bunch of guys with PSs and most are OK guys. However,I can almost spot the bad ones. They just seem to have an attitude. Like I said before I try to be friendly even to them. But to some I guess a smile is taboo from a Dodge owner.

I guess there are some of us with attitudes to. I tried to talk with a few guys at the Mid-west Cummins open house last year and got snubbed by a few. I had parked my truck on the other side of the parking lot,so nobody knew I was driving a Cummins. Everybody has a bad day once in awhile,I guess.

Maybe these guys were a little tipsy and liked the odds?I wasn't about to start a fight with three dudes, but was not going to take their I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER either. I have had a couple of Ford owners get bent about a brand,I usually ignore them. But,these guys were just a little to obvious.....
