Ditto on the above. I think you will either love it or hate it (the whistle inside the cab). When I first had mine in, the whislte was really noticeable, after several months now, guess I'm used to it, don't even hear it unless I think about it.

I totally agree with the above. Noisy at first (But a good noisy), but within a few weeks, you get so used to it you dont hear it unless you think about it. I saw a 150 degree EGT drop immediatley. Thats worth the noise alone.

I know this isn't the best comparison,but...
First, take the silencer ring out of your turbo's inlet and drive it around like that for a while. If that added noise doesn't bother you at all, then you probably won't mind having a Psychotty.

I did both, I took the ring out and installed the air system. It doesn't bother me, and also my wife loves the sound and so do the kids. My wife made sure that when she gets her truck I have to order the pschotty system for her truck!!!What a woman!!!

I also have the "Psychotty Air Filter"
and like it very much. All the other
members have given you a good description
of the "noise" difference compared to a
stock filter. "MikeR's" suggestion to you
of "taking out the silencer ring first" is
good advice! As far as mileage, I saw NO
DIFFERENCE at all when I installed the
"Psychotty", however, my EGT's DROPPED by
150 degrees.

I haven't noticed any mileage or power increases with a Psychotty, but what you do get is an increase in usable power. Because of the lowered EGTs you are able to run further up a grade without down shifting or backing off on the throttle. On most of the hills I pull regularly I am now able to stay in 4th all the way to the top rather than 3rd. If you aren't bombed or pulling a load a Psychotty will be useless.
