Tonight after letiing My truck idle cooling off I noticed something I hadn't before. On shut down you can hear air still flowing through the cowl. To make sure it wasn't my A/C heater fan I fired her again, turned the fan off and same noise.

This make me wonder if there is some restriction in the venting grid. Since putting my open exhaust I have had a similar sound of air bleed ing out the tail pipe as the turbo spins down.

What do you Psycotty users thing is it time to open some holes?

Kinda sounds normal, oops, I mean like my truck #ad
When I switch off I can hear the turbo in the exhaust and in the intake. Turbo inertia I guess. It only lasts for 5 seconds.

Just continue BOMBing, situation normal.

Drawson,Once you opened your in and out to let that Cummins breathe you also also opened up the muffling that was taking place before. That turbo spin down sound has always been there,it was just harder to hear. PS ordered gauge(0-350F) for intake temp along with three senders($15each)they assure me they will work in liquid or air, tell you more after they are installed.

Sometime if you are in a clean environment (a paint booth or something) pull the hose off going from the airbox (or Psychotty) to the turbo. Have someone crank your truck and turn it off. You will be amazed how long that turbo will spin. Even when you can't hear it under normal operation, it is probably still spinning, I would say more like 20 seconds. You can usually only hear it for 5 or so.
