www.moparchat.com www.ptenthusiasts.com www.ptcruiserclub.org www.pteazer.com www.ptcruiserparts.com

There's a small start on what's out there.

I read a rumor that Kenne-Bell was working on a supercharger, and have read that at least one company has a turbo kit for it.

The engine doesn't respond to intake and exhaust changes... no horsepower to be found there - the stock stuff is pretty good.

All I can say is: YOU LUCKY DOG!!!

My wife wants one too... but that's not in our plans any time soon.

i know a guy that put a pt cruiser body on a VIPER frame. the pt had to be widened several inches to fit the frame. now thats one bombed pt!

Perfect for a small V-8 conversion. I thought they had a V-6 option?

You might try this site http://aiwana.com/
Can not put the link on because computer at work will not do it. There was a link on Freds TDI Page in a note about parts and I saw that they have PT Crusier Acc. Hope it helps.

We got the auto. It is well built and handles fine, but that 150 Horse just lack’s something.
The 4 cylinder is packed tight into the engine compartment. I think they would be hard pressed to put a V-6 in there and so far no word on making this an option in the future. A V-8, forget it.
From the web site suggestions I have found the typical performance enhancements; Air Intake/Filters, Headers, Dual Exhaust, and an interesting “Whipple Supercharger” #ad
Presently, the Whipple seems to be having some software bugs, but this would be a great BOMB #ad

Thanks to everyone for their responses.

All PT's are 150 HP, and there are no engine options. ONly auto and stick... and the stick runs rings around the auto.

However, the PT is very heavy, nearly the same as a caravan (although much smaller, it is engineered as a light truck), but with a bit better aerodynamics. There aren't going to be any engine options, either, because the chassis simply does not have room for anything else.

I understand it pulls pretty good G's in a corner, though, and handles very well. Anyway, 150HP from 2. 4 liters is no slouch... it's more than 1hp per inch, naturally aspirated. But, that's just not much for a 3200 lb vehicle.

Tim,

I suggested this to the little woman, but driving from the back seat didn't seem to appeal to her much #ad

I heard tell that DC is thinking about offering: a convertible version; a turbo; and a "panel truck" version without the rear doors.

Wait and see!

Did someone say forget the V-8?Oh no. My Dad said that about his Datsun pickup, years ago. He had a hard time forgiving me for his Hot Rod Datsun. Now,I gotta find one for a Small Hemi conversion!
