PTO cable??

I'm trying like heck to find a good PTO cable assembly. Searching on the internet for something like this has been futile.



I checked Tractor Supply - no dice.



All I want is a shielded cable with a quality non-locking knob on one end and threaded rod or something like that on the other end... .



My shutdown solenoid flew apart, and I don't want to reinstall that P. O. J. again... . hence the need for a cable.



Any suggestions?

If you would like to save $$'s or get a free cable, check your airports that service light aircraft. Small planes use a quality cable to adjust the pitch on constant speed props and a lesser quality cable to operate the throttle (similar quality to a pto cable). Both these cables get replaced and discarded regularly on aircraft and most are long enough to operate systems in our engine compartment. Any truck body supplier or retailer will stock pto cables and many tractor wholesale parts houses do around here. NAPA can easily order one, any length. Larry

you are probably referring to a fuel shut down cable. to save money try a wrecking yard that deals with over the road trucks that are wrecked. if that does'nt work, try one of the truck parts counters, like international. the 85-90 models 4700,series.

the company that i used to work for had manual shut down cables.

Update on the PTO issue... .



I ordered a 10' PTO cable from www.awdirect.com ... . $23-shipped to my door.



Can't beat the price... and hopefully it will be here soon.



Many thanks for all the links/advice. I even called my old boss who has a small single engine plane... . and he said that he didn't know what they did with his old cables. So I'm buying new.....
