Has anyone added a PTO to the new Asin auto yet? What brand did you use? How easy does it install?

Most PTO kits are standard sets... . the ones I have on a Fuller 9 speed behind a 10 L Cat engine will fit the 6 speed in my 04, 04. 5 and 05 NV5600 transmissions.

You pull a cover off the transmission, and bolt on the PTO kit... . You can have the kit live... . turning all the time or one with a clutch which you engage while its stopped... . (transmission is not moving). . The ones on the Fuller are turned on and off with air pressure from the air brake system... .

Most of the kits I've seen are Muncie and Dana... . the output shaft on the kit is usually splined so that you can connect a drive shaft to it... . On the fuller above it turns a large hydraulic pump... .

On large mixer trucks there can be a PTO system in the clutch..... Mostly used on Mack Cement trucks... .

I personally haven't seen the Asin transmission but I can only assume its the same..... Hope this helps...

I don't know about the Auto trans. , but on my new '07 C&C w/G56, there is no place to run a shaft back on either side due to the exhaust on the right and the transfer case on the left. You would have to mount a hyd. pump on the pto unit and plumb hoses to a remote hyd. motor to drive whatever. I don't think DC thought that one out too well.
