I keep noticing a puddle on the floor in the garage just inside the right front tire. If I were running the AC I'd expect it to be condensation from the AC unit. However, I have not been running the AC.

Anyone else noticing the same thing?

It's water. I've noticed it off and on since I got the truck (2 months). None of the fluid levels are low. It must be quite a bit. When I came home from work this evening, there was still a puddle from last night. Hmmm?

Maybe my AC is running all the time? NO, can't be. I can hear that loud engage noise when I do turn it on.

2 things come to mind (real quick like):

1. its the a/c if you had the selector on. The a/c runs in heat no-heat modes to "dry" the air to the windshield...

2. its washer water (if you only have water in the tank) as it crosses over to the pass side and under the batt. The non-diesels use the support in front of the air filter box for the washer fluid but with the diesel its on the drivers side.

Hope its nothing but the a/c water... Gud Luk.

The AC runs with the last two settings on window defrost, and it makes less noise than in the summer. I run mine on defrost most the winter here in the soggy Seattle area. I almost never park were it is dry so I haven't noticed the condenser dripping yet.

That's got to be it

It's got to be condensation from the AC unit. I run with the AC off but the control on defrost most of the time. I sure don't need the AC working on defrost here in the central Oregon desert. I could really use a humidifier instead!

A/C running

Bill,

If you run the A/C and put the heat control on heat, you will still run the compressor under the hood, but will get heated, de-humidified air. That's why they also wire it to run when you have the defroster on, de-humidified air will clear the windshield faster than straight heated air. On those rainy days, you see people with fogged up windows, if they run thier A/C and put it on defrost, it would clear a lot faster. Not sure about ice though, but it does work faster on fogged up windows. If you run defrost, as you said, that puddle most likely is water. No worries.
