Today I hauled a load of horses to the vet for the usual. When on the way home I got stuck behind a Phord with a 5er. He would

speed up and slow down to block pass me on the straights. Now,

I was haulin' 5 horses in a GN trailer and his 5er was about 28 feet long. It was real kewl, I waited for a straight on a hill I know and it was clear road ahead so I let the Mighty Cummins have it..... I gave her all she had. You should of seen this Fu*#er$

face when I blew past him at 85mph:--) It was the coolest thing ever. As I went for it he gunned it too. Still he just looked over at me. His wife wasn't too happy with his actions either:D

ALWAYS pass them going UPHILL. Then there is never any doubt in their minds... ... ... ... ... ... ..... :D

Passing uphill is the real test of pulling power. I remember when I used to ride road bicycles in college we always passed or try to "drop" the slower riders going uphill. . If they dropped going uphill, you usually never saw them again.

Been there - done that!

Had opportunity several times to pass a PSD going up a hill after he had passed me on the flat.

Got into a good set of hills and never had to worry about the PSD again.

Different story for the Duramax. The guy was an absolute idiot and drove 85-90mph with his trailer fish tailing all over both lanes just to get away from me. His trailer was an enclosed Wells Cargo about 24' long. I was pulling my 30' 5er (about 9,000lbs. ).

Had to test drive a powerstroke. Went today, pulled real smooth,

until I hit the grade. My truck will just keep pulling and that thing sat at 70 mph. Dealer was real impressed by its power. I smoked my tires leaving his lot in the Cummins:D Wonder if he is still impressed?????????????
