5th or 6th gear?

BW 3600 5th wheel hitch

Congratulations on the new 5er. Nice looking rig.

I too had Michelin XPS ribs tires installrd on all five wheels as soon as we we got our new, at the time, Arctic Fox 5er home. I sold the original China, will pop tires, on craigslist cheap. george

The axles are 7000# rated. I don't know about the rims though. I'll have to crawl under and see if they're stamped 80# or 110#. The current tires are 235/80R16 at 80psi.

The Sailun S637 is similar to the G614 GY. Cost half as much, and has a very good track record with RVers and Commercial haulers. All steel plies including the carcass plies similar to the XPS RIB and G614.

Joined the ranks of Ram haulers this week. Traded the class c MH for a Ram '13 3500 DRW 4x4 auto with flat bed. Then picked up a '16 Montana 35' 5th wheel. Love that Cummins, even with the 3.42 diffs it does great. Not much history available on the truck unfortunately so I'll be going over it soon. Any suggestions on any concerns I should look at first please speak up with your suggestions.

Welcome to TDR, lots of useful info here. You'll love reading the articles in the Mag. I must have missed something though, Grizzly commented on your nice looking rig, but I don't see a picture or a link for it.

I think he was referring to the original poster's picture. I haven't taken a picture yet. I'll try that soon though.

I didn't comment on JHRider 5th wheel. I commented on the OP's AMink's rig.

A note to JHRider's post #20. Welcome to TDR. I know you don't know all the rules yet, but it may be best if you added your signature and pictures of your truck and 5th wheel as RVTRKN noted. Perhaps you may want to start your own thread. george

Blogging is like texting sometimes, it's easy to misconstrue someone's intensions. Grizzly means well, even though I shouldn't speak for him, I believe he's giving good friendly advise. If you fill out your signature, we can all see your truck and toys. And a picture of your setup hitched together would be cool.
