Pulling Cel Codes From An '06

I have an 06 and just got a CEL today. Tried the 3 key on thing and got nothing. I did search a bit so, sorry if I missed it. How do you get the CEL codes from an 06.

On the Hemi Ram website, they have the '06 manaul on there and you should be able to find the instruction in there.

It is a can bus vehicle,I have access to a Star scan so I haven't had to try anyting else yet. There are aftermarket can bus capable scanners but it will have to have the correct software to operate on the Cummins.

The key cycle does not work for most 06 (or any CAN bus vehicles) with very few exceptions. You need a scan tool to read them.

The CEL in my 06 has come on twice since I owned it. Both times when there was an abrupt change in the ambient temperature.



Each time it stayed on for a day and then went off. Truck runs ok so I'm not worried about it.
