Hello guys. Working with a 07 mega cab with battery draining issue. Replaced batteris couple months ago thinking it might help. Truck can sit a couple of days and will completely pull down batteries. There is a pretty good draw when slightly touching cables to battery. Arks pretty good. If you sit in truck with door closed and ignition off (with/without keys in switch) about every 2 minutes exactly to the sec you can hear a noise in dash behind instrument cluster. Sounds like a click a hour gauge would make except a touch louder (very noticeable sound). Only thing i could figure that is pulling it down. Any ideas on what the sound is or what is causing it? Also put new tipm because of headlight issue but didn't fix this paticular problem. Thanks

the old way to check/run problem down is to ck voltage, pull fuse,
and proceed till you locate that circuit for the power draw

*first thing i personally would do is check the wires from rear doors to pliiar(inside of the black rubber boot/cover. tug on each to see if they have broken inside. man people have had this issue, and just might be the problem. Although no one has ever complained about power draw, still worth a 2 min check. )

Sounds like the instrument cluster might not be going to sleep. It doesn't mean the cluster is bad, iirc it gets inputs from things like the horn pad, vanity lights, etc and works with the FCM and should go to sleep after a few minutes. If you have a VOM with shunt, you can put it inline and pull fuses, the instrument cluster being yellow with a hold down clip (?). My cluster went bad, it was around $250 from the dealer with a $500 core charge. I guess they want them back that much.

EDIT, I see it's and '07, so the IPM/FCM replaced by TIPM.
