Pulling up Codes----3 Key Cycle on 06

Has anyone tried to do the 3 key cycle on a 06 to check codes? I have tried a few times and it doesnt work like my 03 did so I am wondering if there is a different way to do it.

I've done it on mine and it worked OK.

I've done it also but the timing has to be perfect. Takes several times to get it right on occasion. The key system is different on the 06 than it was on the 99. It's like it has an extra space or slot other than off, on, run, and start. That took some getting used to.
