Title transfer?

25'+5' 23K Gooseneck too much for 01 2500

Since the installation of my superglide I have noticed a galling of the 2 square tubes that support the kinpin connection... part of the hitch. Even with it greased when I make a sharp left turn under high power the truck shutters pretty hard. After looking at the tubing closely I notice the one on the right is rubbing and the bottom and other side the top like it is in a twist.

Any others having this problem?

I've only pulled about 5K miles but no problems so far. I put a liberal amount of the white lithium grease on the tubes before each trip and wipe the excess off before I put the hitch away. We've been through the mountians in VA and NC so we've seen lots of turns. Sounds like something may be out of alignment.

Keep grinnin,

CUMMINZ,

I can be only limited help, but I my experience shows that you must keep those tubes lubricated. I failed to do that, and a short tow without enough grease ruined my tubes.

I can't help with solving your specific problem, but you could call Pulliam at 800-443-2307 for their advice. They have always been very helpful for me.

Good luck,

Loren

Have 10k on my superglide with no problems. Does your hitch swivel freely when moving it by hand? Otherwise check the up and down play of the hitch plate assemby.

It may be too lose and want to bind. Also check the main roller bearing that creates the automatic slide. Ifthere is slop, you should uneven wear on the roller track.
