Has any one ever noticed that when you hold the injector line with engine running you can feel the line pulsating, well my number one is very noticable, and all the others are very faint, Is it normall for this to be happening, how come # 1 clyinder has a stronger pluse then the other's, also i changed my fuel filter, first i drained the bowl, then put on my 1-18 socket and boy was it on tight any way after i unscrewed the top cap I could not just pull the cap and filter out, I had to pull and wiggle for about two minute's finaly the cap and filter did come out, man i was starting to sweat, I had visions of the tow truck comming, Are they all this hard i thought it was a simple unscrew take out put new one in bump starter three times start truck, It did crank awhile before it started, anyway any information will be greatly appeciated,

2005 larime 3500 48re 4:10's mopar nerf bars, chrome fuel cover premium tonneau cover, mud gaurds, 1450 mile's 15. 0 miles MPG blackwith grey,

useing Stanadyne fuel treatment.

The rubber grommet on the filter holds on to the post in the housing. Once the cap is unscrewed it is normal for the filter which is clipped into the cap, to require a little effort to slide up this post.

After a filter change, just bump your starter without actually trying to start the motor and release the key to the normal on position. This will allow the lift pump to run for about 20 seconds and fill the filter housing. The truck should start as normal after that. Good luck.

Tight fuel filter

I never realized that you had to full that hard to break the filter loose, also i did bump the starter three times and let the lift pump run 20 seconds or so still had to crank the S&#@$ out of it to start,

The #1 line pulses and knocks a lot more than any of the others. Look at it, it's the longest one, and it covers the longest distance with no clamps.

Completely normal.
