What pump and DV ID #s should be on a 98 12valve auto? With my custom 10 plate and stock pump and DV's, I beleive my Dyno numbers seem to high. 290/660. Max Boost 28, EGT 1050 / 1250 long uphill pull, towing. The engine ID is 180. See Sig for other details.

Awsome power,very little Smoke

Input Please, Has previous owner done Mods?? Does not appear so.

Dave

Stick truck 215 pump. Auto I believe 180. the h. p. rating on your pump is on the drivers side on a stamp. Not sure on the D. V's but I think 181's. To see what D. V's you have you have to take one out and I believe the numbers are on there.

DV id numbers are on the DV's. Your truck has 181's identified by 181 in the number on the DV itself.

If your plate is "custom cut" and not an exact replica (millimeters make a difference) of a #10 I don't think 290 is unreasonable. A #4 will yield 290HP. If your 10 has enough rack travel 290 is realistic.

Plate is very similar in profile, but the "ramps" are as follows:Slightly deeper cut and slightly lower for greater rack travel in the center section-. 025 deeper then #10. with a quick response angle on bottom end with a 30 degree gradual fuel cutback towards the top.

Basicly took a letter 'J'- turned it backwards and laid the long leg at 30 degrees.

Good for a 30 Ft burnout from standing stop with no brake !!!!!!

Hope this makes sense.

This plate did raise the water temp about 20 degrees to 195*

Started with a x-tra stock plate, milled down to #10 profile and have been re-cutting and tuneing, playing from there.

Thank-you for the information

Dave

98' 12V auto has 181's in it, as does a 215 pump 96'-98' stick! If memory serves me correctly the 160 pumps had 131's and 175 pumps had 151's!

i would say someone has bombed her a little 290/660 is not hard to get out of a 180 pump. there are some guys around here that pushed 600 or more i think out of a 180 pump. i agree 181's are stock dv's on 180 and 215 motors. just the plate and some tuning could get 290 out of that engine i think.

Dave.
