Jim Fulmer said:The trouble I had was running too much pump and not enough injector causing pre-mature cam wear. Cut cams are fine but to date have not made me anymore power. The cam in my stock pump is the same cam in my race pump, the only difference is the P&B's.

I have run both in my pumps, at first I thought the cut cams were a source of my pump troubles and kept quiet about it, but now I know it wasn't. What I have heard that in a truck pulling situation a cut cam for pulling will get you your fuel sooner and last longer. I know that my cut cam from piers looked nothing like my stocker did when it came back to me... I was amazed at how much was cut off! I also went with 13mm P&B's and its pushing quite a bit of fuel to say the least!

This sounds like a Grey area... . I like it!

Doing these mods on a budget, which should come first, second, ect. ? The results will also be better having the pump tuned to each new mod right?
