Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Pump cover screws

durnit. I am irritated. I have a bluechip pump cover on my 98. I wish to remove it. After several hours of searching I found a #25 torx bit to remove the screws. Here is the problem. The torx bit has 6 sides. The screw has 5. Not only does it have 5 but its tamperproof too. Where in the hell do I find a 5 sided tamperproof torx bit? I had one and can no longer find it.

If I remember correctly some one posted in another thread that snap on has them... Have to do a bit of searching.

I also bought mine from blue chip after realizing the difference. At the time they told me they bought them from matco. I didnt know of a matco dealer so i just paid to have the thing overnigted from blue chips.

The correct name for that head is, torx-plus tamperproof. It has the rounded points like a torx-plus, but the tamperproof version has 5 points and the traditional tamper proof pin in the middle.



I know Matco has them.
