Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Pump Keyway

UPS just dropped off my replacement VP-44. Keyway on old pump is . 044, new one is . 036 . Is this the right pump for my truck {early 01'auto}? Called the vendor but they were allready closed. Any hints,tips on replacing pump?

Put the new pump in just the way it came out of the box.

The key matches the pump, not the truck.

The keyway is set to the pump on a bench test stand - you must use the key that came with the new pump. There is no 'right' key - it is whatever is needed to setup the pump.



You should have a SO pump. Compare the part numbers, however a SO ECM can use any pump. If you had a HO engine then you would need to have a HO pump only. So you are good to go - put it in.
