OK, it's been a while since I sold my Ram. I just got my "new" one, and with the Prime Loc on there, I cant see the pump very well. Where is the primer button? Which angle should I reach for it from? I cant actually see it, and DC's Owners Manual pics aint much help!

The primer button is on the mechanical lift pump. Stand on the driver's side and reach down there its a little ways down on the block close to the fuel heater and pre-strainer.

Here a diagram on the engine. The primer button is on the right side of the picture.

Hope this helps.

Many thanks Gitch!! That was an easy find and a simple reach! Where did you find that pic? I looked for a link to Fritz's, but this new format has ommited it.

Take a broom and remove the handle. Use it from the master cylinder area to push the primer button. Quick, clean and easy. Once you find it, put a glob of yellow paint on the tip of the broomstick and "paint" the rubber button cover to help identify it better on down the road. #ad
