Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) pump r@r

as some of you know im putting a new injection pump on and in an effort to save time later i started removing the old pump. well im down to the point where i need to know how to line this thing up so that the new pump simply slides in. so if any of you could point me to somewhere where its written up on how to do it or is willing to take the time and tell me how i would much appricitate it thanks all for your help.
