Hi

Now that I've done my p7100 pump timing my father-in-law is questioning doing his 1992 truck.

What special tools are required/recommended to adjust the pump timing.

He has the OEM manual, I have way too many tools (but never enough) but I'm sure there are more.

On reading different posts there is mention of the pump wrench. I'm assuming it is an oddball curved wrench - true? What size is it?

Thanks!

Dan,

I have a 1/2" crowsfoot socket (3/8 drive) that I put on a 3" extension. Fits right on the hard ot get to nut; just turn the ratchet, and it loosens up. Yuo have to be good at felling around in the dark, but it works, and you dont have to wait for it to get lost by FedUps.

hey guys,

I just advanced my pump timing tonight, and the distributor wrench worked well for that hard to reach bolt but I would like to get the curved wrench any way. however I don't know how any one gets the injector line nuts loose, I could only get 3-4 of them loose even after removing the thottle linkage, but I used a big cresent wrench on one of the outer features of the pump to get enough leverage to get it to 1/8" from the original position.
