I turned up main fuel screw against collar and was able to get about 1/2 turn and went from 24# boost to 28#. After turning up pump i noticed the noise level went up in cab when cruising down highway. It seems to make more noise at all speeds. Has anyone else noticed more noise after turning up main fuel screw?

At cruise, the fuel is controlled by the governor. No matter how much you turn the fuel screw, the engine runs at precisely the same fuel level, timing, and otherwise at cruise.

ONLY when you call for the extra fuel will it be injected... And that will be making a lot more more horsepower.

I have no idea what the noise is, but it has nothing to do with turning up the fuel.

one of the first things that happened when i turned up my pump is i roached the motor mounts. so you might want to check them.

good luck-------------dave

Must have more turbo noise from turning pump then. I turned it back where it was and cab noise returned to normal. My turbo don,t whissel like a semi. It seems like a lower pitch growl. RDODD
