Just wondering if there is a place where I can check my Bosch # on my pump just to confirm which pump I have since my CPL no longer does me any good. On Fritz ram tech page it looks like there are a couple different 160 pumps and I need to time my truck this week. TIA
If you remove the throttle linkage (three 10mm head screws) the id plate is located on the left side of the injection pump under the #2 delivery valve holder. It should read something like 0 402 736 XXX
So I looked at my pump and the plate is almost all scratched out. All I could make out was 402 736 84_. I couldn't make out the last digit. Anybody know which 160 pump this is and which column do I follow on this page. http://dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/FAQ/timing.htm
Thanks a bunch. Any reason not to try and find a 913 or 887 pump or can I make some pretty good power with this pump? I was thinking of throwing in some Bosch 300's. I won't have any stumble will I? Or would it be worth it to try and find some 181's to throw in there? Thanks.
