Got a new golden puppy a couple weeks back, and am looking for seat covers that can stand washings. Did a search, it seems Genos and Cabelas get good reviews. Anybody washed either of those a bunch of times ? Between the dog and my boat crew, the covers will get a workout. Seats look good now after two years of crew, but this wild thing ought to be named Shop Vac for the dirt he carries around.

'03 flame red 4x2 two, cool hose only fun mod so far

checkout the neoprene covers by coverking. pretty much liquid proof, if ya know what I mean, and you can always spray em with some stain repellant before assembly. My bro's got em on his truck, and he is very pleased with them.

looking for a good set myself. Trying to cover up a worn spot from before I got the truck. Def know all about how much dirt a puppy can bring, I think 5 pounds on my german shepard is dirt and she only weighs 24 pounds. Give them and bath and they are dirty again in 5 mins.

Congrats though on persevering and letting the little one ride in the right place - in the cab. At work we have to try to 'repair' way to many that are riding unrestrained in the bed!! Besides in my truck whose gonna clean the crumbs from the car seat except the dawg?!

Our puppies' shedding was a big inspiration for a new truck with leather.

I would look into one of the leather covers, it's a breeze to clean and doesn't keep hair on it.

I wish the whole interior was leather:mad: The fabric is SOOOOO hard to get the hair off. I have a 12 y/o male Golden and a 6 y/o female Lab/Terrier. Soon to get the neighbors shiitz-zu. #@$%!

I had a more or less "generic" cover for the back seat (advertised for animals) and it was more trouble that it was worth. Get something that fits well even if you have to pay a lot more for it.

I just got the rear covers from Geno's for this reason. I think it will work out well. Easy to put on and off and is better than the blankets we used before.

My dog knows better than to climb on the seats. He's got a blanket on the floor in the extended cab part that he uses. Or if he's dirty/wet, he rides in the box.

You must either have a real small dog or your trucks cab is a lot larger than mine. Besides, how can you not let a dog stick his head out the window? Thats such a great thing to a dog I think it would be cruel and unusual punishment to prohibit that :D

My dog used to like the fresh air and breeze in his face until he hit the window up button with his paw. When I looked over and saw his head being squeezed I quickly put the window down , with no apparent damage done , now he won't put his head out the window. Go figure , I guess he learned his lesson.

BTW speaking by exclusion of power windows. Did you know when you dog is numb nutz enough to shut his head in the window with a claw you CANNOT reverse the window, you can only break the circuit from your side and stop the advance (no, we'll never let up on his switch). Then you gotta pull over, shut down, and extricate the dawg. I now have a stop clip in the passengers switch. Why couldn't they add a lockout button for the right side like 4-doors??

Cabela's has a set of their cheapie seat covers in various camo patterns that work great. My American Bulldog's short hair actually worked its way down into the fabric threads of my old F-250, so when I bought the CTD I ordered the Cabela's covers before I took delivery. They have paid for themselves multiple times over.

LOTS of good advice

Thanks for all the help, folks, I went with Marathon after talking to them a bit. They're a small USA company, like me. I try to use small businesses whenever I can. Hadn't run into the window problem yet, that's a sobering thought. This little guy is doing well so far, but gads can he track dirt, my wife says we ought to rename him Pigpen from the Peanuts strip.

About 60lbs, so medium sized dog. German Shorthair Pointer.

He doesn't do the window thing for whatever reason. In the bed he just lies down in the front of the box right behind the cab even. He does try to dig a hole in the bottom of the floor sometimes though. Weird dog haha.
