Anyone pulling commercially?

Hotshotting to Cali?? Anyone?

I just became a member to TDR. This is probably the first of many questions. I own an 02 3500 dually w/ 6speed. The truck is going to work for a living hauling an enclosed gooseneck trailer. I was hoping that some of you could make some recommendations as far as 5th wheel hitches go. The truck will be hauling up to 15000# at times and I'm really interested in buying a solid hitch that will last and provide some level of comfort between truck and trailer.

Thanks!

I can't recommend a mfg, as mine isn't available thru Camping World anymore ... but get a side to side tilt'er.

It's not disconnecting that's the problem with the standard 5th wheel hitch, it's connecting. The side to side tilt'ers take all that hassle out & assure a better hook up.

I'm a bit confused here. Are you towing a gooseneck trailer or a 5th wheel trailer, or both? A gooseneck hitch and a 5th wheel hitch are totally different. There are a couple of hitches that can be used for either, with the correct parts. The B&W Turnover Ball is one of them, and the Reese rails can accomodate either a 5er hitch or a gooseneck hitch.

Welcome!!

I have the Pullrite Super 15K... absolutely love it! Very strong, well made hitch and I really like the positive cam locking mechanism and the ability to remove the locking handle after hitching . Helps deter any would be pranksters and thieves.
