Driving home from work today, traffic being merged from 3 lanes to 1. A guy in a 4x4 PSD tries to cross the median to the service road. It rained hard last night and the poor guy was up to the bottom of his doors in muck. Wouldn't you know the only people to stop and help this poor soul were a couple of CTD owners #ad
Anyway, you can guess the rest, hooked on the cable had him out in less than 10 seconds. BTW, I forgot to turn off the fueling box and the guy, the truck and the bystanders disappeared for a few seconds, but when the smoke cleared he was back on the highway #ad
He offered to pay, I told him that getting to pull out a PSD with my CTD was all the payment I needed. Have a nice day #ad

BRAVO!
I've helped a ton of folks, but my ego is still wounded by having to get pulled out by a toyota the other day... . #ad

helping folks is a real repayment of when times were bad for me . . I do it all the time also
David you need to be wounded #ad

Agreed, doing things like this is really a "high yield" activity. 1) Helps boost my and other's sense of "community" and decrease the cynicism that every stranger is a threat 2)made some new friends; the CTD vs PSD vs DM for me is purely in fun and healthy competition that should draw people together not "drive a wedge" 3) really great to put the truck to work, I so rarely pull anything, it's great to see it do what it was made for (although it makes a great hot rod too #ad
) Was just one of those feel good moments just wanted to share!

1 Ford Power Stroke Diesel: $39,000
1 Dodge Cummins Diesel: $36,000
1 Tow strap: $25
1 Soggy Fresh Sprint Clay: Free

Mix Ford and clay thoroughly, stop only after the Ford is two feet into the clay.

Seeing the expressions after the Cummins pulls out the Ford--priceless.

after reading all this i have to add my story. It was winter in pa, about 10 inches of snow in the fields, and my buddy thought he would take his toyota trd offroad for a little test run. the power line he went back was angled to his right. so when he tried to go, the truck kept going farther and farther down this hill. So he ends up as far to the right as he can get, and it ends up being in the woods, and not only that, he couldnt see a fallen tree, so hes now hung up on the tree, in the woods, in 10 inches of snow, at the bottom of a 50 yard hill he sits. He walks about a mile to his parents house, and he and his dad take the "big" Deere up to get it out. His other brother calls me to come see whats going on. we get there, with a 6 pack, to help. and not the tractor is stuck, and the truck. at the bottom of this hill. so i drive down, pull the tractor out of the way, and hook a cable, about 100ft to the truck and give it hell. it took some work, and about 2 hours, but the dodge pulled them both up the hill. needless to say, i didnt have the stock tires on it. but we got it done. gotta love it.

These trucks are definitely amazing. On or off road, towing or racing, not much gets in their way #ad

Anyone else got a story to tell?
