I'm still not convinced. The Duramax doesn't have an electric pusher pump with it's Bosch common rail fuel injection. It has a plunger to prime the injection pressure pump. 400hp isn't an open pipe at the injectors. It's still a very small amount of fuel injected at high pressure. Even if it was an open pipe, the primed pump would flow a high amount of fuel at low working pressure and less work for the pump. Just like opening up the end of the garden hose more, the well pump runs cooler, not hotter. It's going to take alot of convincing to convince me that more lubricating, cooling fuel flowed through a pump will burn it up. But trash in the fuel will... Just my $. 02...
