I have an 04 and am considering adding a Pusher Pump (Enterprise) in conjunction with my OE lift pump. But I wonder if an aftermarket system like Air Dog or FASS would be a better choice and replace both? Has anyone tried either or have an opnion based on experience? The reason is because I would like to add a TST box. Thanks

I don't have experience with the brands of pumps you mention, so I can't give you a direct answer. I am running the Diesel Dynamics pusher pump and it works great.

Search the Engine and Trans forum, just use FASS for the search and you'll find a load of stuff on FASS and Airdog.

I went to Summit Racing and ordered a Holly Red pump... about 100 with freight... and used a relay in my tool box... connected the relay to the existing pump circuit... . Relay only needs a fraction of an amp to trip it... . the Holly Red pump requries about 10 amps... so key on and both pumps jump into action. . and turn off... Fuel pressure is up..... the Holly red is only rated at 7 psi... but will deliver 46 gal's per hour about 50% more than the truck requires with fuel going back to the tank... and I'm letting the existing lift pump do its job supplying fuel... Pressure is up at all rpm's... so the fix must work... .

Hope this helps. .

I've got the AirDog, love it! Made the truck run much smoother, and more responsive at take off. Mounts right under the bed, inside frame rail, right behind the cab. I bought it for the fuel filtration mainly and for the pump to help push the extra fuel due to mods. I would have still installed on my stock truck, for nothing more then the fuel filtration/pump. Pressures are rock steady, never have dropped below 15psi at wot. At idle, a steady 17psi. The cold temps here have had no ill effects on it what so ever. She sits outside 12 hours a night unplugged. Starts right up at -10 degrees, one of my better mods.

I've got the Carter 4601HP sitting on the bench along with a Painless relay kit and a Scotty fuel filter adapter. It's about the same as the DD kit but quite a bit cheaper. I think the Carter or the Holley are good choice because thier easy to find if one dies on ya'. $190 total for everything...
