Finally got a Carter pusher pump installed this afternoon, no more lp troubles for me (hopefully). Thanks goes out to Gary - K7GLD, for all the advice. Anyway, its just a basic Carter 4600 pump in front of the tank on the frame rail, with an in-line fuel filter off of a Case IH 9310 tractor as well. Idle's now at 20 psi, and wont pull below 15 psi WOT, empty weight. So far so good, a vast improvement over the stock situation, if you havent added some form of booster yet, dont delay!

Is it ok to run that much pressure?

Can't say for sure - only been running mine that way for 3 years and 30K plus miles so far... ;) :D

I'll get back to you in several more years... :-laf :-laf

Ive read several other posts where people are idling as high as 25 psi. That might be fairly high, but I dont believe 20 to be a problem. Besides, our rigs are built to move, not idle! :-laf

There's a thread on the DTT forums about the RASP that DTT went to Bosch and asked what psi was ideal. Bosch came back with 12-14 psi. Many run with higher and lower.
