I am trying to figure out how i am going to mount the pusher pump on my 01' 4x4 QC Ram. I have Steve's photo's from his post, but the inside of my frame rail is nothing like his. I have 2 crossmembers and a skid plate that limit accsess to that area and the open space i have has a huge oval hole (About 7 inches by 4 inches) that makes mounting the pump there impossible. Any farther back, i wont be able to cut the fuel lines, any farther forward, i am behind the skidplate and crossmember. Has anybody doen this install on a similar truck and had a solution?, or should i just resort to fabricating all sorts of brackets. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Have you presented the same question to Enterprise Engine? I mean if they have installed it on trucks like yours? Maybe they have some tips?

I have my lift pump mounted about 5 inches in front of where the boxed section of the frame ends. It is located about the same distance in front of the tank. I didn't have any problems cutting the fuel lines. Good luck.

Ill try giving Enterprise a call. It would be easy if i could mount the pump further forward, there is alot more room there. But it would be almost midway between the stock lift pump and the tank, would this be a bad idea?, i am guessing it would defeat the purpose.

EM, on the short bed you have to mount it in the hole that the line clamp is in right now.

looking at the big hole in the frame go back towards the tank and there should be a clamp on the frame holding both lines. use that hole and about 2 or 3 inches towards the front there is another hole that is unused. use a self tapping bolt or a bolt and nut on the back side of it and you got it.

you will then have to tweek the line down and towards the frame after you cut it to get the rubber line to meet up to the pump inlet. try to align it so it doesnt kink.

I placed my mount behind that clamp so I could re-clamped the lines too.

hang on, I'll go take a picture of mine. :D

Thanks for the pics guys. Its great to be able to have help where someone will run outside and crawl under there truck to take a picture to help someone out. I will attempt to mount my pump tommorow after work. I will let you know how it turns out.

Thanks again

RED 360 and I mounted ours today at his shop. He has a LB and mine is a SB.

Mounted mine in front of the trans cross member. no problem as you are supplying the lift pump and the forward mounting is about 24 to 30 inches ahead of the rear mounting location. Don't know my pressures as my F/P gauge quit when we fired up the pump system. Ill check out the gauge tomorrow. We also installed the BFAIRFILTER. No noticable increase of turbo wine from stock paper and box. Reduction of smoke off the line and low boost, 50* reduction in egt but was rather cool here today, Will again check tomorrow.

I put mine in today and here is what it looks like.

Put the mounting plate along side of pump to raise it some to keep it out of the rocks.

Tapped the frame for the mounting bolts and rubber mounted the mounting plate to frame... wanted to keep the noise down and it seemed to work, nice and quiet.
