Ok I just installed a Holley blue in line with the LP, I have a 30psi Westach gauge and The install went perfect. My question is how much fuel psi is too much? I see 22 at idle, 20 crusing, and 17-18 at WOT. Should I install a regulator or just leave it like it is, because next week I am installing a Blue chip FMS Oo. . And I know that thing will draw down the fuel pressure. Thanks for your help. Curt

Your pressures sound OK - anything more than 14lbs gets returned to the tank instead of going through the VP internals.

There have been reports of hard-starting problems on older 24Vs due to too high of pressure - usually when the pump is running while cranking. If you have the ECM controlling the pump you should be good to go.

What did you use to plumb in and mount the pusher? I'm wanting to put one on my truck also.

Thanks for the quick reply. The holley pump comes with a bracket to hold it on to the frame rail, so I used that to mount plus I put some rubber inbetween the frame and mounting bracket to help control noise. I just used 3/8 fuel hose to connect the pump to the lines I also used regular hose clamps but I did put two on at each connection instead of 1 just to make sure it wouldnt leak. then I used a 30A relay and tapped in to the hot wire at the LP for my trigger wire. It took me about 2 hours to compete and I am really impressed with the pressures. Thanks Curt

Your readings are exactly the same as my added Carter pusher pump - and mine has been in operation for nearly 40,000 miles and 3 1/2 years, totally trouble free! ;)
