Anyone have experience installing the rear running boards for the dually? I think they are called "Box boards" They are the ones which go behind the cab, starting at the front of the bed and going all the way to the front of the rear wheel well. I got the cab running boards installed without a hitch. It seems like they think you can read their minds on how to install as the directions are only one page, with only a few line drawings. I assembled the "erector set " bracketry, but don't have any idea of where to drill, and don't want to screw up. I've tried to set the boards on blocks at the proper height. Should I start by fastening the mud flap at the rear? How much of a gap between the front and rear running boards? There is one bracket that goes onto the frame and must either be drilled or welded. What did you do? I thought drilling and welding the frome was a no-no. If I have to do anything, I'd rather weld Any sugesstions would be appreciated. My truck is a 04. 5 dually 4x4.

Can,t help much but saw the same boards on a 2004 and easly the best looking ones IMO. I did notice that they put the bed board on wrong. Big gap in the rear mud flap and it pulled the board back away from the front edge of the box. I would form and mount the mud flap first and then the board should line up with the front of the box. Hope this helps.
