6 volt coil

looking at buying 04 Durango-Hemi

Anyone here into PWC's? I recently bought a 1996 sea doo xp with some mods and starting to get into this hobby now also (sorry for cell phone pics)

It didn't look as good when I bought it, but with some special boat cleaning compunds and color restorer it shines( I detail cars on the side so that helps)

iphone doesn't take great pics, but you can still see the reflection

thanks , i'll take you up on that. My dodge has started to get jealous because I spend more time buffing out imperfections and waxing it than cleaning my truck.

I'm looking for a place to do fiberglass repair and possibly repaint it to match my truck.

Dale Scott down at Boat Doctors in Lavergne is the best around. The Sea Doo's are fiberglass hulls, not plastic like the others, and are covered with gelcoat.

Thanks, I think it will do somewhere around 62+mph but gets to it faster than most new ones, It does have a FACTORY PIPE(aftermarket brand) with water injection, R&D nozzle for more thrust, impross(SP?) impeller, carbs are jetted, and some k&n style air filters. The rest of the 800CC engine is stock

The P/O said it will beat a new supercharged sea doo to 60mph because the new impeller limits top end, If you floor it from a stop it literally pops out of the water without any wake. Also it only weighs about 400LBS so the ski handles great and allows for tototal rider control.

The Factory Pipe actually removes water from the exhaust instead of injecting it. Less water=more power but also higher temps and we all know what that does.

As for outrunning a new SC 4-stroke... ... ... ... . I'd have to see it to believe it. You need to ride one of those. :D

well wasn't really sure how the water thing works worked so thanks for clearing that up. The pipe has a couple of hoses running to a solenoid that is inline with water leaving the motor. Does this help with peformance? And I would like to see it out run the new SC 4-stroke also, but don't know anyone with one.

For 2500 you can beat the price especially with the mods, maybe next summer i'll buy a old donzi style boat or a hallet/hondo v-drive to fix up.

The water cut-out helps performance GREATLY. 2-stroke pipes are what "tunes" the engine for either top-end performance or more torque. You really can't have both on a 2-stroke, but with the PWC's they are running water through the exhaust and Factory has devised a way of using the amount of water run through the pipe to "tune" for different conditions. Kind of like the new variable pitch blades in the turbos. Sea-Doo uses a vacuum operated valve on the newer motors that does the same thing.

You won't outrun a rxp (supercharged) up to or on top end. Sorry but they'll smoke you. It may run 60 but the speedo's lie ya gotta use a gps to get a accurate #. I had a 98 gsx limited with the 951 twin, pretty fast, but my 785 pro spanks it and I get beat by the supercharged skis... they're rockets, 215 horse on the old ones and 255 on the new ones, that's a lot of ponies. They are fun though, pretty much all of them just to go out and splash around on and have a good time. Have fun with it. Greenhulk.net is a good pwc forum.

It may or may not have the power of the newer PWC's but at that weight I bet it would give the newer models that that are so big they might as well just be called be boats a run for their money.

I never really believed that I could beat one, haven't ever seen a S/C run before so couldn't say on how close it would be. 215hp compared to my 110hp stock is a big difference, but hopefully I can do a few more mods without making it unreliable.
