I am planning on installing ( either Isspro or VDO) pyro & boost gauges on my 92. My truck came with the factory option tach. It is my understanding from reading the TDR that the VDO gauges are almost identical to the Dodge gauges and as far as price goes both the Isspro and VDO are almost the same.

Questions.
1) What are your comments (pro and cons) on these gauges?
2) As far as locating these gauges on a first gen truck should it be post or dash mount? (I wear bi-focals so I don't want to located them at the bottom of the dash?
3) Since the tach is already located on the dash is it possible to get a 3 pod dash mount to incorporate the tach?

I know a lot of you have had pyro and boost gauges for some time and therefore any comments and suggestions would be appreciated. You can't beat experience - I would like to do it right the first time.

Cheers,
Al

I currently have isspro gagues with the A pillar mount on my 91 and have no complaints. They have worked perfectly in the short time that I have had them and I'm satisfied.

Same, the Banks ones are made by Isspro, no problems so far. The pyro just doesn't have the nifty color areas for green, yellow and red zones for temperatures. Mine are the dash mount.
edit- The dash mount is on top on the right edge of the main gauge area. My Tach is also mounted near there, on the center speaker mount area(3. 5"est. face tach)

I have not been able to find any post mounts for the VDO gauges for first gen trucks. Does somebody know where they can be obtained?

Also could the Isspro post mounts be used for the VDO gauges? Apparently the VDO gauges are 2 1/16" whereas the Isspro's are 2".

Thanks.
Al
