Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Pyro installation question

Does the pyro have to be mounted in the exhaust elbow behind the turbo? I was thinking about mounting it in the blockoff plate that covers the opening where the EGR tube used to be. This would give a pre turbo reading and would be close to one of the rear ports on the manifold.



Would this be a bad place to put it?

Didn't see the other post regarding the pyro pre turbo until just now, guess that ansers the question for me.



Curious if anyone ever thought about mounting the pyro in the plate like I would like to? Seems like a good place since I can pull the plate out to drill in a press.
