pyro location

I just purchase a used 1998 12 valve with 48k on it. I would like to install a pyro since I will be doing some towing. I have an issopro guage and thermocouple that I was going to instal on my other truck a 7. 3 Ford, will this set-up work and where do most of you mount the guage and thermocouple. Thanks in advance for the replies.

WRichards, Welcome my friend to the TDR, the best bunch of folks around

ON your sig, go to the tag called user cp and click it, and you will see from there.

Your pyro can be mounted pre-turbo or post turbo, most prefer pre, anywho I found all the details on Fritz's Rampage , its a great tech site @ http://dodgeram.org/ go to the diesel page and walk thru it from there... ... ... ... . hope this helps... ... ... Kevin

These are the best instructions I've found http://www.dieselpage.com/gipda.htm The instructions are for a 1/4" thermocouple, if you have 1/8" just be aware.

Yes Sir, the pyro will work on the lawn mower if you want one there. A pyro is a pyro. Put it on and watch it work.



Two places to mount it, in the exhast manifold or the exhaust elbow. The manifold seem to be the best place for most folks. Thats where I put mine. You get the heat right off the head.
