Dodge/Mopar Accessory Warranty?

hey guy's another newbie question. I'm in the process of putting a pyro on my truck and when I talked to the sales people they informed me that putting it in the down pipe isn't that great of a spot. I've read that it just reads about 200 degree's cooler on avg. ,am I making a mistake by putting it in the down pipe. Thank's for all the help

6 of one, half dozen of the other. Most people run theirs pre turbo, for more accurate EGT/cylinder temps. Others run theirs post turbo to see what the turbo temp is at. Some run both. Do a search on EGT and plan on a lot of reading.

I installed the pyro in my truck (pre-turbo) in the exhaust manifold. The difference in temperature between pre and post is at least 300 degrees. By having it pre-turbo you avoid doing the calculation. I believe most guys have the pre-turbo installation.

If you're looking for the most accurate reading... put it pre-turbo. That's the real temperature your looking for... If you're overly concerned about the possibility (very remote) that it may break off and damage the turbo then put it post turbo and interpolate all your temp readings. :)

All right thank's guy's ,I was beginning to wonder whether I should put it in the down pipe or not. But that's were it's gonna go.
