I saw in a post a picture a guy had of a switch he used to see both sensors, pre-turbo and post turbo, on one guage. I would like to do this as well and need to know which wire to switch, and should it be done before the little converter box, or between the converter box and the guage, which in my opinion would be easier, thanks.

Great idea

I would be interested in what you discover. Please update us! Seems like it should work. Add a probe and switch them before they enter the sending unit. The question would be if the sending unit, probe and gauge are calibrated as one. David at Diesel Manor might be a good source of information for the wiring of this great idea.

sure will, I'm calling Isspro in the morning, they're here local in Portland. I got the idea from a post on TDR, the guy had a small toggle mounted next to the guage in the A-Pillar mount, it was pretty trick looking, and I'm a gadget guy so I gotta check it out.

the "search" function works great and the dual thermocouple topic has been discussed MANy times

yeah, tried that, wasn't able to find the picture or post I was thinking about. Called Isspro today, have a couple ideas to try first.

I believe that you will find that your contacts within the switch box will need to be made out of the same material as the thermocouple wire. Cromel-Amul, is how it is pronounced, spelling might be off. Otherwise your reading will be off. This would apply, if you put the switch box on the actual leads to the probe. Some systems use an interface box. The output of the interface box to the gage might not be subject to the above. In that case it would be very simple to switch between the two interface boxes, figuring 1 per probe.

I agree with Mundgyver. You will need to switch it after the interface box due to the reason he stated(working from the probe back towards the gauge) and then you can just use a dpdt switch between the interface box and the gauge.
