Question about my Valves?

I was wondering what some of u guys are doing with your valves! Should i up grade them or leave them alone? Im wanting to run the tst on an 06, and plan to up grade the turbo and just wanted some insite on this! The truck will be a every day driver and plan to do some drag racing and sled pulling!!! Hope to get some replys!

Cant anyone tell me about valves? Im not trying to be a pest or anyting i just dont want anything bad to happen to my truck and just want to keep it together!

Don't worry about your valves. FIRST get GAUGES, then upgrade your intake, exhaust, turbo, trans, lift pump, and maybe injectors if you've got the chips for a modified CP3. If you're pushing huge boost, then get some studs.



If you have an '04. 5-'06, you have the better valve seats that withstand hotter egt's than the '03-'04 trucks. You don't have anything to worry about unless you're running too hot egt's.

YES YES YES..... Upgraded valve train is a must for serious horsepower which generates serious heat. I replaced a short block on my 03 due to heat damaged springs. Dropped a valve in cylinder 6. You definitely need to adress all that was mentioned in the above post..... start with gauges.

Thanks guys!! I have everything in mind that i want to do, i just wasnt sure about the valves! Gauges, TST, AFE, Phat Shaft turbo are all in my plans!! Thanks again for the tips!!
